I feel so silly....... apparently its a 'timing' thing......I was spending too much time trying to take out the bad guys, you have to just survive to get to and onto the bike in the tunnel. Hope this will help others when they get to it.

What do you do if you hit a bug? I am trying to ride the motorbike in Kazakstan at the train tunnel but the game (PS2) keeps crashing and kicking me back to the previous checkpoint. I have discovered on a related site that a bug can kick in at this point but I have no idea how to deal with it.....does it mean the game/disc is faulty and needs to be replaced?
