Make your way down the tunnel and take the passage that leads to the right. Hop over the small platforms to the other side where there is a lever. When you jump across Lara will say her legs are stronger. Hop up on the walkway and follow it back across the room. Grab the full health kit on your way out. Make your way to the other passage until you come to the edge with a lever beside you. When you pull the lever, the door at the far end opens but it doesn't stay open long. You need to make your way across the stone platforms before the door come down again. Use sprint to make each jump and you will clear each jump no problem.

If you don't use sprint you will hang on each edge and it will take way too long. When you make it across in time continue along the passage way into the next room. Directly ahead of you will be some stones and a door at the far side. Jump over to the left side and climb a ladder there. Climb another to reach the broken bridge above you. Jump across the gap and then slide down the slope to the left. Jump off the slope and grab the ledge of the walk way directly across from it. Pull the lever and drop down to the stone platform. Make a diagonal jump from the stone platform over to the stairs and make your way up to the door. After the door opens, walk into to Eckhart's lab.

    I like:

Coldplay, REM (mostly the older stuff), Travis, The Coral, Red Hot chili Peppers, Rancid, Motorhed, Metallica, Linkin Park, Green Day, Nirvana, Foo-Fighters, Queens of the stone age, NOFX, The Offspring, Rob Dougan, Rob Zombie, Nine Inch Nails, Moral Treason, Soundgarden, Audioslave and Rage against the Machine.

Theres some other stuff I listen too occasionally, Rob Dougan is the only instrumental artist there, he wrote a lot of music for the Matrix and Matrix reloaded. (Clubbed to Death plays in the scene where Neo is pushing against everyone and the girl in the red dress walks past and Furious Angels plays in reloaded in the first Agent fight)

First off, you may ask what the Half-Life 2 tactic is. It's this: Deny the games existence, don't tell anyone, let speculation rage for five years. Then, three months before the game is finished, reveal it and stun the world.

Why should Eidios do this? To avoid the problems they had with AoD. From the release of PS2, AoD was announced and was promised for a Christmas 2001 release. Heres where they made thier first mistake. Nothing steams people up more than slippages. And I mean that really gets under the gamers skin. If there is no release date, we don't have to worry. But no, empty promises hurt, they hurt bad. All we got on that fateful Christmas was a few measly screenshots, which did look quite stunning at the time. All was well.

Fast forward to November 2002. Excitement rages, it's finally coming. But alas, after so many delays, it proves to good to be true. So, we allow January to pass, February is looking promising, as does March. April is a quiet month. Then June comes and slaps us in the face. The last few days of June deliver. The gamers take it home, slap it into thier PS2/ PC...and whats this? Bugs? After all this time? What a dissapointment. And the graphics look very average. Almost...dated.

So, Eidios, don't make any release promises. Do what valve did. Let us speculate, let us wait, just don't, make us angry.

Then I have bad news for you. He's confirmed in the next game. BTW, thats 45 out of over two million sales. Take that into account for a moment. In my opinion, Kurtis has moved the series forward and gave something new to an otherwise...well, lets not sugar coat it...dead series.

Lara is an amazing character and all, but to keep repeating the same formula over and over again is going to strain on people after a while. I agree with a post in another thread that Kurtis movements are somewhat clumsy, but he's still the savior of AoD.

Taking into consideration that AoD has recieved extremely lukewarm reviews, some giving a little leway because of the fans demanding an early release, Kurtis is really this games main saving grace.

The level design varies, certain areas are excellent, others are bland and unimaginative. Gameplay is slow, slower than ever in fact. Graphics are average, being littered with annoying bugs and not really pushing any new areas.

In conclusion, it's time to let Lara rest. It's time to make the fans WANT her back. Kurtis is the key. And if Kurtis has a working discblade, more guns n' ammo and telekinetic powers that the player controls, Lara could have some SERIOUS competition.

Latest rumours suggest that the current engine is being rebuilt because of glitch and bug issues addressed earlier. The infamous Strahov fortress "Box puzzle" glitching is said to be one notorious example of, well...bad coding.

Anyways, if anyone wants me too, i'll type up the Adrian Smith interview and either post it up here or e-mail it to Jana. It more or less tells ALL about whats to happen. It also contains many tie ups to loose end stories and tasks. On top of that, theres a rather interesting trivia book I found on Console games and AoD has just been added.

I suppose thats right, perhaps it's to make Lara have no trust for anyone in the next game. But I have to say that it is a bit of a stupid notion, considering that Margot Carvier was also killed by the Monstrum. Continuity perhaps?

Anyways, all I know is, that we're going to have to wait and see what lies in wait for Lara.

Well, from what I picked up, there were certain points where you may have seen or met Kurtis, when in fact, it wasn't really Kurtis. What I do know is, is that the Kurtis that you may think is dead is in fact the real deal. The fact that the Chiurigui is glowing signifies he's still alive.

Of course, Angel of Darkness has in fact only begun. This is the first of three chapters, meaning that you'll be clued up as to what is going on in AoD2 or TR7 if you prefer.

I thoroughly reccomend you play the game again at the end of the year to prepare for the next instalment.

Hi, sorry I haven't been around for a while, been real busy getting the game finished. Anyways, a while back I managed to get an e-mail through to the team and got a confirmation E-mail back.

    It read like this:

"Kurtis Trent will return. We've been innundated with e-mails from fans that have been going crazy over the thought that he could even possibly be dead"

So, there you go folks. KT is a definate show for TR7. The game is now in development and is set for a Christmas 2004 release. Expect this to feature more Tomb Raiding, Less bugs and improvement on Graphical quality. I SERIOUSLY recommend you get your hands on the Companion from the UK, it gives the low down on whats in store for Lara.

Introduce Kurtis Trent and make him another well known actor, such as Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt.

It is compulsory that Angelina Jolie is kept as Lara Croft, she's the perfect embodiment of her.

In agreeance with TRG, Show more of the locations, have a narrative play while locations are shown to the audience, show the areas that Lara will visit in more detail.

Have more trivia based info for the fans, such as little cameos by the game developers and have it that someone is playing a tomb raider game in the background or something.

Keep Laras background the way it was in the games, these "slight alterations" are far too much for even the casual fan to bear.

Quit it with the sexual innuendo, it becomes far too James Bond after a while and reduces Lara to something for men to drool over. Shes meant to resemble female empowerment, or "the babe with brains" as it was put by Steve Gorton.

I was reading computer and video games special on TR last night and when I came to the end there was an interview with Adrian Smith, who divulged a lot of info about the next TR. Interesting points included that Lara was originally going to become an alchoholic, and she'd come back to her home (croft manor) and it would be burning to the ground. The reason this idea wasn't followed through was because it would make it awkward for the movies. So, instead, they decided to frame her for murder. After this game, Lara is to go back to doing what she does best: Tomb Raiding. The next games main location is confirmed to be Turkey. Concept art has already been released and I have to say it looks quite fascinating.

Other rumours have included a much awaited return to Croft Manor, (more butler-in-the-fridge antics anyone?) and the facts of what happened to Lara in Egypt will finally be divulged.

Adrian Smith also stated that everything has been mapped out before AoD, and there is enough to make a completely seperate game.

Now...here's the shocking part....The next TR Game could be out for Christmas or early next year....(Yeah, i'll believe that when I see it.)

Trust me, your going to love playing as him, he's slightly more aggresive than Lara, but he definately has a certain "Kick ass" style about him that I think will play well with most TR fans.

P.S Thanks for the smaller Avatar, I was having problems finding one :)

Excellent little corner of the web you've got yourself here, definately one of the better more comprehensive TR Sites i've seen, and i've seen a fair few, believe me. I'll try my best to contribute as much useful and resourceful posting as I can. In the mean time Keep on Raidin'!

I'm new here, as many of you have probably guessed, so i'll drop my hello and how are you while i'm here. Anyways, on to the topic at hand.

How did you find playing as Kurtis Trent? My opinion was that he was the perfect way to move the series on. Sure, we all love Lara and nothing will ever replace her, but I think that Kurtis gave the series something new and refreshing, a breath of fresh air, if you will.

    They've got my e-mail, I assure you....
