I wish I had admin powers because I'd delete them. I'm not even convinced that it's real people, but bots. I just hope it isn't affecting the new Wiki Raider sever.

As long as the can't post it's alright.

The Wiki software is not very well designed when it comes to deleting people. So it's mostly not worth the effort.

The spammers are back, I can't disable their accounts as I don't have moderator powers and I can't be bothered to delete their spam every day over and over again. I'm afraid that I'm tired of my lack of power in the situation and I find trying to be a Lead Editor under the circumstances too depressing. So Wiki Riader will have to do without me unless either I am given the means to edit it properly or someone who can pays it some attention regularly.

I am sorry, but I missunderstood you at first. It sounded like the usernames themselfes were the spam. Besides even if you would be able to delete them, they use different names for the next attack most of the times. ( I have not found a way to delete the users; you would not be able to do much more than what you are doing now. There is only one thing I have to do now, repair the spam filter which seems to be damaged after the server move.)

Ok, the filter seems to be ok, but I guess it has to be updated again.

For the future:

Add the domain used for spamming to the blacklist:
http://wikiraider.com/index.php/MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist
Use a new line, enter the domain, and place a "/" before each "."

But please don't add words that could make sence in the wikiraider context and be very careful what you add.

Thanks for sorting that out. I think the spammers are bots, automatically posting again and again. I'm glad you've got rid of some of them.

I want to add http://www10.atpages.jp to the MediaWiki Spam Blacklist but the page will not let me edit it.

Damn, I am not sure if I can change the permissions, I have to do some tests, unfortunately I am busy with converting the news section.

For the meantime I have added the url to the black list.
