Which films have you watched recently?

  • You're right, the first one is 40 min longer and the third is a massive 48 min longer than the cinema version. If you'll watch all three extended version, you would be watching approx. 12 hrs of great entertainment.
So, Tombraidergirl, have you watched them all ? :-)

  • Yes, we actually went through the whole day ordeal last year. [hehe] We had prepared a lot of food (healthy food, salad and such, with chicken) and then went through it just with a little break at the end of each movie (or disc swap) to visit the bathroom.

  • Yesterday I watched Madagastar 2 with my family. It was ok. Funny, but erm idk... i wanted to leave before it was over. It's good for little kids though. Pluz it was the 1st time i had been to the theater in like.... 4 months....

Wow, and I thought I was the only one to do that. :-? But it was great fun to do it. Have you read the books as well?
Can't wait for 'The Hobbit' . Peter Jackson agreed to do the movie adaption and I think he already started filming in NZ.

  • On imdb the say filming will start in 2009 and the movie will be released in 2011. I'm curious myself. I liked the movies, I didn't like the books. ;-) (Well, you have to admit they are not easy reading, all that singing and eating and travelling and singing and travelling and eating and so on [hehe] ; but as for the story, there are some interesting differences which makes it worth reading the books.) On the other hand I really liked reading The Hobbit. So it will be interesting to see it on the Big Screen.

  • Yeah, I know they're a bit of work ( reading ) :-) but I still did enjoy the books.Especially the battles. I didn't really like the part with Tom Bombadil , was a little boring .
I did love The Hobbit though. Can't wait for the movie. it's gonna be great ( just like TLoTR ) :happyjump

I watched The Hitcher. No, not the recent version but the one with Rutger Hauer in it. Heeps better if you ask me. :sun:

  • Have you read the books as well?

Yes, and luckily I did manage to read them before the movie came out. To date it was the most difficult English book I've read and I sometimes regretted not reading it in German.

  • sometimes regretted not reading it in German.

I did. [hehe] I read it in german and in english. Not a mean effort if I might say so myself. :D
If I'd be you, I'd still read it in german, it,s worth it, believe me.

  • I just finished watching "I Me Wed" starring Erica Durance (Lois Lane in Smallville). Watched it just because of her and thought it would be really cheesy, but it was surprisingly funny. As well as cheesy [hehe]

  • Sounds cool K.K.
Flicked through yhe channels on my telly on ended up watching Resident Evil 4 on showtime. :-) Love that movie ( and Milla J. )

  • I watched Eagle Eye yesterday.
It had the potential to be mind-shatteringly brilliant, but it somehow chose not to be. All the same, though, it was a pretty good movie. Good action flick without being over the top. :-)

Also watched Ice Age and the sequel. Scrat... :rofl

  • I watched Gone with the Wind last night. I don't know if it deserves the title of the most romantic film of all time over titanic, but it was still excellent. And, it was very similar to the book.

  • Watched Quantum of Solace last night on the internet. Very good, pretty much what I've seen in the video game plus a little more; the ending made me a little sad, and even though this one was good, I liked Casino Royale a lot better.

  • I'm going to watch Q o S next week when it gets released. :blob
Watched Van Wilder 2 on saturday night, really funny. [hehe] Then I watched Get Smart. Stomach still hurts from laughing so much. :rofl

  • Requiem for a Dream.

Small wonder why it was nominated for 30 something awards, I've never seen a film which portrays the lives and problems of seemingly normal people whose drug addictions spiral out of control so well, even if it does contain a lot of adult material.
